Was drawn against 2 excellent golfers in our clubs Spring Alliance knock-out, one is a 2 handicapper and the other a 6.

My partner is off 7 so we compliment each other very well.

I shot a gross 35 out and gross 44 in for a grand total of 79 :whoo:

Gross birdies on 2, 6, 7, & 8 and a gross par on the 9th with the rest only single bogeys

3 birdies on the belt and 4 on the front 9, a real PB :D

Felt the adrenalin on the back 9 but kept it together to still shoot well under under handicap.

The pair we beat couldn't have been more gracious in defeat as they both know how hard I've been working at my game and although disappointed, they couldn't have been more pleased for me, proper gents

We won 4 & 2 with me parring the 16th, to say I'm chuffed....well.......I'm Spartacus ;)

Good shooting Robin, keep up the good work.

Well done Robin, great shooting!

Just wondered why you didn't get the stick I just have with the posting of my round yesterday! It's obviously ageism !

That is really great shooting sir, you should be well chuffed

However there is a potential issue as this score and other recent ones bear no resemblance to your handicap ,
And you know what people are like...

This isn't your fault and I'm not insinuating anything , it's just that the handicap system cannot keep up with a rapidly improving golfer
I'm also aware that you don't have many qualifiers available to you

Might be worth putting in a couple of supplementary cards, to cover yourself

Congratulations again, :)

The danger now is that you start to expect to break 80 all the time.
It's good to have targets but definitely expect the scores to start levelling out a bit.
Plenty of room to come down and you're obviously playing well enough to do it.
But don't forget - the lower you get, the harder it gets.

Might be worth doing a few Supps to keep the calls of Bandit at bay - coz let's face it, you're playing well and well under your number.

Good shooting My Man!

Well played Robin that's great golf. I hope you don't get the same stick/banter I'm getting at my club at the mo. Lol
Shot a 2 over gross 37 last night in our regular Thursday 9 holer. Even had an eagle 2 on our SI 1 2nd !
21pts off 10 & I wasn't even in the top 3 !!!

purely out of interest to help me with the maths, what would this equate to in terms of a cut, assuming CSS is equal par.

Early days.

Level par front nine, 27 points.

Well played Robin, but if you play like that at the H4H day you may not be very popular.
