It must just be me but in 50 years of golf a scorecard holder is something I have never owned nor seen the need.

However, unlike headcovers on irons I would not be judgemental of their use.?

hi Crow,
may be a stupid question but what are the bells for on the score card?

Not a stupid question and I had to find the scorecard as it's not my home course but Charnwood Forest, Leicestershire.

I couldn't work it out at first but then I remembered that there are bells on holes 1, 2 and 3 to signify to the following group that they're clear to play.
It's a 9 hole course so it repeats on 10, 11 and 12.

Crazy that I was always told you were only allowed one bell hole per course incase someone heard it and thought was clear when it wasn't
