Just reading on the BBC website how he is disgusted that that he has not won the African player of the year award. His words not mine.
As a Man City supporter it has been quite sad that as a fan it is like watching the king in a pride of lions in his demise. He is not the player he was and at times he was immense for City. But If he is the best player that Africa had to offer over the last year then African football is struggling.
If and its a massive if that Guadiola takes over at City next year, YaYas time will be limited.
YaYa thanks for everything, but reel yer neck in.

As I read it he's disgusted that more importance isn't given to winning the African cup of nations.
Either way he just looks like a bad loser.

I think he missed the point, African footballer of the year is about performances in the big leagues and being an ambassador... As stated he has been a bit poor this year, the winner had an impressive strike rate in the bundasliga (spelling ??)

You're all forgetting that the PL is the best league in the world so poor performances here trump outstanding performances in the Bundesliga.

Best league in the world dont cha know. Cos the media said so.

The rest of the world must also think so aswell.
The TV money in the Prem is crazy compared to other leagues.

Noel Gallagher once said when asked about YaYa, " it depends which YaYa turns up, if it's the one that wants to roll his sleeves up and get stuck in then we will win, if it's the one that don't fancy it and prefers to sit on his deck chair in the middle,of the park then we will struggle" all to often he has brought his deck chair. So much so he may well need a new one soon.
Comments that he led the Ivory Coast team to victory in Africa so don't it count for owt, based on that info alone he would not of won it the previous years.

His best position is when he's on the front foot, driving going forward. He opens things up by going past opponents and committing them.
I thought he was wasted under Mancini when he at times played him as a holding defensive player.
He's also a proper footballer in my book as he can use BOTH feet

I laughed when I saw the headline - remembering back to the birthday incident.
But actually agree with what he said about African Footballer of The Year. His argument suggests that the award should be for achievements in Africa, rather than foreign leagues. If you are going to promote African football, I think Yaya's suggestion is a good way about it.

In my opinion, he could have then made suggestions for a couple of other people that were worthy of winning the award but not himself. That makes you look like a bit of a prat.
