So do you festoon your abode with enough lights to keep the energy companies in business for the next 100 years or are you a Scrooge and don't bother at all...or are you somewhere in the middle?

We have a string of lights around the front window and 3 wooden arches lit with fake(!)candles - understated......

There's a street near us that uses enough power each night to keep London alight for days - they seem to have a competition each year as to who can put the most lights on their house.

One house over the road has had their lights up since Nov 28th - I'd be getting a bit bored with it by now.....

Nothing on the outside of the house and this year, pretty much nothing inside as well. We dare not have a Xmas tree as we have a new kitten who would destroy it and any decorations hanging from it. Not too worried as I am at the inlaws for Xmas anyway.

A few lights on a tree outside and lights on the tree inside

Seen a few houses that will certainly keep Npower profits very high this year

i must be in the scrooge catagory. No tree or lights anywhere on the property, the cards are lying on the dining table awaiting our next blue bin collection

Three or four wooden arches and a few lights on the Christmas tree which I got from our local common!
No, I didn't pull it up, there are lots of trees that have been cut down & piled up for people who want one .................... well, I think that's what they're there for!

Slime.

A string of lights across the front of the house but pride of place goes to the inflatable 8' snowman who also lights up :-) Oh and this year we have Santa hanging outside trying to get in through the window...HID is a big kid at heart!

We have a tree with lights, a string in the kitchen to keep HID happy while cooking and I do a grotto in the front porch.

This has to be the best decorated house ever.....

Brilliant!

We have a tree in the front garden decorated with lights. The front windows are decorated, and the 8ft Christmas Tree is sitting nicely in the family room. The kids wouldn't have it any other way (and neither would I TBH). I do sometimes wonder why people don't just take the opportunity to celebrate a time of year that is supposed to bring family and friends closer together. Even if they are Atheists like me...:D
