So how many of you have seen the XBOX brief at E3 and what do you think?

Some of the games they had on show looked amazing especially Metal Gear solid in its new free-roam form and a new exclusive TitanFall I think it was called.

It's to be released in November with a price tag of £430 in the UK...

If you haven't seen it check it out, no crap this time just games.

Wow I feel like a right geek now :o

Is that price official? Amazon did have pre order estimate price at £600. I am a massive Xbox fan but that would be too steep,

Yes was announced at the end of the brief, the crowd seem shocked and in a bad way. I don't think it's that bad considering an ipad is around the £600 mark.

Amazon have to go high to make sure they don't under-price it before the official price is released.

PS4 for me. Cheaper, better controller, looks better. No kinect, no need to log into the Internet once a day, the ability to buy second hand games and Not having to talk to my console.

I currently av Xbox 360 & whilst it was cheaper than Ps3 when launched by the time you'd paid for Live & to make it wireless their wasn't much in it. Plus PS3 plays blue ray. & let's not forget the "red ring of death".

Xbox includes kinect, so if they can convince everyone that its worth £100 the they might have a chance.

PS4 will require the purchase of the PSN+ subscrtion for online play though, now whist that might seem a bad idea you do get at least 12 games each year as part of the £40 price, and the subscription will work across PS3 and Vita too, so anybody (like me) that has those only pays once but gets twice as many games :)

I'd be very surprised if ps3 can under cut the Xbox price given it has 8gb of expensive DDR5 ram. But we will soon see.

I believe you don't understand that price to consumer bears little relationship to cost of production!

Drivers - and all golf clubs for that matter - are another example!

Longtime XBox fan that is switching to PS4. Don't like the fact the Xbox One has to go online every 24 hrs, don't like how they're changing the way pre-owned and sharing of games is done (virtually defunct on new One) plus the PS4 unlike the XBox will be region free so if you get games from abroad on a cheap you can play it on a UK console same with DVD's and Bluerays.

Oh and theres the cost to.

I'd like to know how the log in every 24 hours is going to work. Does that mean that if you go on holiday you'll come back to a big black brick under your tv? And what about people who don't have a decent Internet. Or people in the navy who like to take their console away with them where there's no Internet at all.

Xbox for me. Dont mind the online thing since im already doing that anyway. Gold account carries over so can keep the 360 during the cross over. The use of smart glass is something I really like the look of. Inventories on my tablet or phone? Yes please. Then there is BF4. First access to maps, Smartglass commander option and the support of Xbox live. It is an excellent service and has a great track record. Psn has to play catch up.

the gold live is well worth paying for, great service with sky/music/video/pics, hope new one carries this on. xbox for me, doesn't seem that much money considering i'll have it for 4/5 years.

I have a PS3, I've not switched it on in 18 months

I'll probably be passing on any new consoles for a while

Sadly my brothers a massive XBOX fan, and sadly my birthdays in November, so I guess he'll be buying the new one and I'll get a hug for my birthday I stead of a present
