Anyone got an old S300 shaft laying about 330 tip, at least 4iron length.

No probs if still with head, I'll send it back if still wanted.

Cheers
Robo

Yes I know it's to go in a 4 iron but not all 4 irons lengths will be the same - I've seen 4 irons differ by nearly an inch in length from different manufacturers.

The shaft I have is 36inches long.

Sorry I'm pretty clueless with this sort of thing.

It's a MP60 Mizuno 4i. Just search on the specs for them and the 4i club length is 38.25".

Would 36" shaft be about right for that?

I'm not 100% sure how the actual playing length is measured TBH! I know there'll be an increase over the raw shaft length but not sure how much….

That seems a bit short!

The way to check is to measure the distance from the top of the hosel to the bottom of the heel of the shaft, then stuff something like a knitting needle down the (clean) hosel to measure the bore depth (using a shaft is not particularly reliable unless you are certain it will reach the bottom!). Subtract that measurement from the first to get the BBGM (Bottom of Bore to Ground Measurement). That value plus the length of the shaft (in this case 36") needs to be the desired total length - allowing a smidgen (1/8"? 1/4"? depending on the grip) for the top of grip, if not already fitted.

i'm sure i've got one lying around that would be long enough.

only question is shaft diameter. standard iron taper tip is 0.355, fairway woods / hybrids use a 0.335.

the one i have is 0.335, but will fit an iron if fitted with a shim (i have an old one that will do the job)

happy to provide for more or less the price of postage.

Hi BB - can I take you up on the shaft + shim please mate?

DM me the damage and I'll ping it over via PayPal gift.
