Having tried Multi compound for a few years I am now going back to Tour Velvets as the grips need replacing. I find the non corded section of the MCs get 'smooth' too quickly.
If you have never done it before make sure you get the correct bore size for the butt. Drivers are usually .600 up to .620, it makes the job a lot easier.

Eventually got it fitted myself, was really easy to do, just went with the gp tour velvets like my irons and wedges,
