WTD Adams Idea CB3 (stiff)

In the market for a set of the above in stiff shaft.

There doesnt seems to be an abundance of them in the UK market.

Would also be interested to hear about other adams irons sets such as XTD.

XTD forged were the best set of irons ive ever owned. Only got shut because i wanted a 4i and could not find one. Also i am a magpieb for new bling

Yeah would be interested in XTD Forged and the CB2. How were they for forgiveness? Anyone tried the CB1s? Ive seen quite a few sets online with regular shafts but i should be stiff (94mph with a 6i). Tempted to risk regulars against my better judgement just cos theres more on the market.

94mph with a 6i is closer to x stiff than regular unless you are very smooth. Good luck with your iron search though, the Adams range from this era was fantastic and massively overlooked. Have you considered the CMB's? Seem to be easier to find and often with stiff C-Tapers in them.

Thanks. I've looked at CMB and they are beauts too. I think I'm looking for a more game improvement style at this point and the CMBs look more suited to better players.

Glad to hear people vouching for the Adams irons though. Looking forward to eventually giving some a hit.

The cb2 were very forgiving, I should have held onto them. The only thing I will say is most about had the kbs tour 90 shaft which is the lighter stiff, similar to dynalite xp

Ordered a set of CB1s, 4-GW in PX 6.0 steel shafts. Might have been wiser to go for a more forgiving set, but these were available at the right price and spec and couldn't resist them. Only read great reviews of these so can't wait til they arrive.
