Bought my brother a titleist 910 for £30 and i snapped the screw in the adapter. After speaking to a club repairer was told probably more worthwhile just buying another driver 2nd hand.... so what ye got for similar price?

Ideally looking for more loft and forgiveness and something that's not ancient. He's just a beginner and not sure he'll stick it so wanting to a) make it most enjoyable and easier b) not spend a fortune if he doesn't play

Or a titleist shaft with the screw in it.

Post some photo's of the adapter with the screw in it. If we can see what the problem is we might be able to help in getting it out.

I know with a set of pliers that should unscrew fairly easily but if the thread is mangled same thing would likely happen.

Also not sure where I would get the exact screw as they don't seem like your bog standard screw from a diy store.

I have a Ping G20, 10.5*, Reg shaft that can go for £40 plus postage. Wont be posting until after Christmas niw though if you're interested.

Yes go on Craig. Can I pay by PayPal mate? Can send today if you tell me how much that plus postage will be

If you can get the remainder of the bolt out and the thread is not mangled in the adapter, I have a spare proper Titleist bolt you can have for free. Try clamping the bolt with mole grips to remove it, or put the bolt in a bench v<script id="gpt-impl-0.13524764352751495" src="https://securepubads.g.doubleclick.net/gpt/pubads_impl_107.js"></script>ice and turn the shaft. Shame to waste the shaft for a little bit of effort.

Thanks a lot mate very kind. Can I pm address to send? I will get out bolt tonight.

Craig I will still take G20 as if I can get 910 repaired will just sell to cover the cost.

G20's probably more suited to him as the 910 was only 8.5 degrees and a heavy stiff 72g black Ahina shaft so probably not beginner friendly.

Feel free to PM me your address and I will post bolt out to you.

Have sent you a PM re: your postcode. There are a couple of shaft rubs on it so am happy to send it to you and if you're happy with it, then you can send payment.

Did you get the old bolt out?

New one is on its way.

Before you put the new bolt into the club head remove the rubber washer from the bolt. When the bolt is in the club head put the rubber washer back on the bolt. (The rubber washer is there to stop the bolt falling out of the club head when the shaft is removed). Make sure that the concave washer stays under the head of the bolt.

If you haven't googled it already, then see link below for the 910 Surefit info guide and its various settings.

Thanks mate. Yeah managed to get bolt out and still have washer so should hopefully screw back in no bother. Broken screw actually didn't look bad.

Carefully put the new bolt into the end of the shaft without the club head first time, just to make sure that the thread in the adapter is not knackered.
