Just finished a basket of balls at the range - the best ever session yet!

Difficult to tell regarding accuracy because of the swirling wind, but the contact on 110 of the 120 balls was excellent, a few were thinned and a one shanked. But overall solid, powerful contacts. Even finished with some 35 yard high powered flop shots landing a few feet from the pin.

Nearly ready for the course!

Nice one, its always good to feel like your striking the ball well, always gives me massive confidence to take out onto the course.
Definitely worth practising the short game shots like "flop"shots too, although I probably wouldnt use that kind of shot very often I think that trying all different wedge shots really gets the confidence up with the wedges!

Yep - time to get back on the course. I've been unable to play for the last month due to holidays and family commitments, instead stealing an occasional basket or two.

But g this is tim golfy, everything with tim is power!!!! Rumour is he power putts!

also he stated in a previous post that he considered himself a good golfer. from the look of this post he hasn't even been out yet! :D

I love flop shots off a mat. Awesome spin. Can nearly zip it back into the bay.

On the course? No. Much harder shot. Much less spin. Way easier to shank it too, for some unknown reason.

Agreed, off the Matt at the range, easy, no pressure, no fear of skulking or shanking it. On the course, I can't think of many occasions I would even think it was a good option. I'd have to be Really snookered to attempt it when it mattered.
