Apologies, it's another "broke 100" thread, well kinda :thup:

Been close to breaking 100 a few times recently after joining local club a month or so ago, scores have been steadily coming down, maybe a couple less a round or something.
Had a lesson today which was superb, I really can't rate his advice any higher.
Went out and shot 90, took 12 shots off my previous pb.
Still hasn't sunk in yet, the best thing though is I know there's still a lot more I can improve on.

Sod it, gonna crack open another can of beer, not at work tomorrow :cheers:

Well done. 12 shots off your PB is a great achievement. Your course management will be improving as you get used to the place so dont underestimate how much of a part your knowledge plays.
Dont rest on your laurels and get back out asap and prove it was no fluke.

I shot a PB 91 last week :whoo: and followed it with104 in a Medal . Just have to accept the ups and downs.

I'd got lazy and reverted back to my out to in swing, I was also bringing the club back too shallow and not turning my hips correctly.
Loads of stuff really which needs a lot of hard work but it was explained well and made perfect sense.

Well after Fridays debacle played in nice weather again today, shot another 90
Really enjoying it at the moment, putting improved today but irons from the fairway (-150 yards in) were poor so I ended up quite often doing low punches into greens as opposed to full wedges etc.
Had a couple of mare holes due to daft shots but apart from that I did ok.

Next question is, do I put in some cards for a bona fida handicap?
Not really bothered as of yet (only joined club 6 weeks ago) as I don't have any ambitions of playing in comps, just thought it would be something to have and maybe aim at getting lower. Then again don't you have to enter comps to lower it?

Mate, I'd rather walk over hot coals than enter a comp lol.
Seriously though, I enjoy casual games (what a slag), I didn't really envisage playing for prizes this year.
