Would you work for this guy?

This sounds similar to the culture in biotech and some Silicon Valley companies, and in general I agree with them. I hate unnecessary large meetings "to keep everybody informed" and meetings that fill the time available, and have left some meetings where I felt it was a waste of my time. As noted, Musk tries to hire the very best, and you need good people to have what seems like a rather anarchic culture.

No convoluted hierarchy? Use common sense to the get the job done?

To build what I do for a living takes 10 years and millions of tax payers money. With his rules we could knock em out in 5.

Worse place I’ve worked for absolute nonsense.

Sign me up.

Nothing untoward in that lot.

Even in the last rule, I used to work in the MOD and had to sign the Official Secrets Act acknowledgement where breaking the same rule could get you jailed.

Mostly common sense. Especially with regards to meetings and calls.

My industry loves a meeting. I’m sure there are people in my business who have never done any proper work, but look really busy attending meetings.

Some meetings are very necessary but need a good chairman to ensure they don't waste time.
Couldn't agree more. But I've been to more unnecessary meetings than useful ones.

I've said before. If I get a meeting invite nowadays, that doesn't have an agenda or at least what the purpose of the meeting is and the outcome the organiser is looking for. I just decine.

If it looks like a long meeting but part may be relevant to me. I make it clear I will attend that particular section only.

Many an issue could have been solved with a simple email or a phone call.
