Hi all,
Currently I am using a older version of the Burner 3+5 woods
I also use the Burner rescue clubs.
The smaller head size of the rescue clubs really seem to suit my eye,and
the strike feels crisper.
The Burner woods seem to have larger heads, even though I hit them really well,
I could be in the market for a smaller headed 3+5 wood.
Any thoughts and suggestions.Thx:)

I can't stand the behemoth 3 woods these days, they are the size of the old drivers!

I've used a Callaway steelhead 4+ for a long time, stunning clubs and über cheap now.

For some reason I don't get on with the larger headed woods so I've got 15* and 18* hybrids rather than 3 and 5 woods. You might lose some distance as (I think) hybrids are slightly shorter than standard woods.

Saying that, if you hit your woods really well then why even consider changing?! Classic 'grass is greener' golfer...just like me! :D

My titleist 910 3 wood has a small head pal.... Probably one of the smaller ones on the market... Its long to and its pretty forgiving... Equally good off the tee or the fairway... The Fd model has a larger head for better use off the tee...

suiting your eye is an important element to any club - it gives added confidence

but then again, hitting something well must do the same to a degree!

I have the both those woods and the Superfast hybrids, as well as the RBZ tour 3 and rescue 11 hybrids and the looks are miles apart (inc white heads :)) but I still have more confidence with the burner woods and can hit them more consistently.

If you are right handed you can borrow/try/get cheap on ebay just about any clubs so play around with the smaller headed ones to find out if they really are for you - there's a huge range.

I agree with you about why change if I hit them really well.
Its is just the difference in suitability that the smaller head gives me.
I also find the smaller headed rescues easier to shape.
Hark at me sounding like a proper golfer, however im keen to improve
over the winter and im looking at all my options.

If you're looking for a cheapish one to try you won't go wrong with a Titleist 906f. Still have mine and a great club, can't remember why I stopped using it now!

I agree with nwj the 906 is a good club very tidy looking at address. I have a ping i20 which is great for shaping shots loiks very good at address and I get great flight off it. worth a look in my opinion.
I dint like big clumpy fairways either the smaller head actually gives me more confidence.

I have the same burner woods mate and have yet to find anything as good.

Im currently using a g25 4w and 3 hybrid combo as it gives me better yardages, however my 2007 burner 3w and 5w are just as good.

Isn't this exactly what the Adams tight lies range that’s coming out imminently is all about?

I don’t have a particularly steep angle of attack, so any fairway wood with a deep face is difficult for me to use off the deck. I really like the look of these. Will definitely give them a try soon.

Cleveland classic .... But then you may have to change your driver.
My 5 wood is just mega, off the tee and grass, makes my driver look poor..... It's a small head but deep face.

910/13F have small heads.

So do the Mizuno MP Titanium range (.... Not sure about the 650 line)

I agree with you PJ, I prefer to look at smaller headed wood at address.
