that has never stood on a skateboard be able to get away with wearing a pair of Vans?
?????

I am 50 so not there yet but outside of work I pretty much wear nothing other than Vans, got loads of pairs from standard black boots to the very limited Foo Fighers ones. The lace up shoes at least are fine for any age I think, I wear those on holiday loads when the dress code requires shoes in restaurants.

I notice you didn't actually say that they were going to be used ON a skateboard!
Even so, a bit 'decorative' imo, though the floral/flower decorated ones might be ok for light gardening!

Vans are ten a penny now, all the young ones wear them, they aren't the cool skater/metal trainers they used to be unfortunately.
If they were still cool then a 66yr old wearing them would finally kill them off ?.

When my kids were younger and I'd be dragged into Hollister I'd always laugh when an old dad would come in wearing their gear. Not the image they were after. Side question, what happens to Hollister staff when they get past their 23rd birthday? Nobody knows, they just disappear ?‍♂️

Have you ever seen Logan's Run? Quite like that but a bit younger.
