As said from my last thread, I had a brilliant lesson yesterday and was very confident going into today. Was easily my worst round ever. Had 5 blobs and when I counted my score, well, it was over 40. I just couldn't hit the ball at all. I would say it's just one of those days, but it was worse. I finally though I was making progress then took a huge step back :(

What's your worst round ever been and why ?

-A sad Ally :(

AllyLodge,

It's December, any chance to get out on the course is a bonus. Don't worry about putting a score together at this time of year. Leave that until the spring, just enjoy getting out and hitting the ball when you can.

Sorry for all the confusion. 40 over par. The strange thing was I wasn't even angry.
But I have my excuses; sore shoulder, 30 mph winds and rain. But It still was a woeful round.

Changes take time to bed in Ally, stick with the changes tho.

I've had too many bad rounds to mention. The worst was probably when I got beat a crazy golf by an 8 year old.

Exactly what I am thinking now. I'm not too bothered about it. A day out on the golf course is better than any day revising for mocks ! ;) whoops

Thats the trouble with lessons, they put so many thoughts into your head.
You can virtually guarantee a bad round after a lesson.
The most important thing is you believe in the changes, stick with them.
And when all the swing thoughts go,you will come out the other side a better
player.

I try not to hit the course too soon after a lesson and prefer to go to the range for a few sessions and work on it. That way I try and stand on the 1st tee confident I've got the new changes in place. Even if it goes wrong I still try and visualise all the good ones I've been hitting in practice and trust the swing. The more you think about it as you play the worse it gets in my experience
