Two nominations in the worst category:

Billy Bragg - Wickerman Festival 09 - The odd song punctuated by Socialist diatribe, utterly self obsessed and very, very tedious; best song on his setlist was one which was covered better by Kirsty MacColl.

The Horrors - NME Indie Rock Tour 07, Glasgow Academy - Had actually gone to see Mumm-Ra (superb and sadly missed) and The View (just as they were really breaking). The Horrors were utterly dreadful. I know now why the Carling was in plastic glasses - if I could of got my hands on real glass I would have removed my own head.

How about yours ladies and gents?

The damned, the very day that capt. Sensible walked out. They got bottled, a lot. not their fault, but it was a very short concert.

Oddly, the warm up act was doctor and the medics, how was that ever going to work?

Michael Schenker Group at Bradford City Hall in the 80's. Apparently Schenker had an argument with the bands drummer (Cozy Powell) and legged it, leaving very disgruntled fans standing at the venue.

Bon Jovi at the McAlpine (Galpharm Stadium) Got fed up of watching an aging Jon Bon Jovi strutting self importantly around the stage. Basically I found the concert extremely boring.

Anvil - 1st band on stage at the 1982 Monsters of Rock at Donnington Park. Had mud, plastic bottles and jugs of piss thrown at them. God they were awaful!!!

They weren't that good!!

A band called Limelight supported Sabbath way back and they were horrifically bad.
Saw Dire Straits around the Brothers in Arms era - great musicianship - completely tedious to watch.

The Stone Roses at Spike Island....never have 4 musicians less wanted to be in the same place at the same time...closely followed by Van Morrison at the Bridgewater Hall. totally and utterly uninterested in the crowd.....He was supported by Solomon Burke though, and he was always good value....

Bullet for my Valentine when they were supporting Guns and Roses. Saw them in Dublin and London and both times they were disappointingly crap.

Amy Winehouse - drunk, and as high as a kite .... awful

Genesis in about 1970 - just the worst noise ever

Groundhogs - read for Genesis

Ashton, Gardner and Dyke - had a hit with Resurrection Shuffle, was the only song that they knew. After a few goes at it there was nothing else!

Due to see Deep Purple in a few weeks - hope that they are ok

+1 was massively looking forward to that but rubbish venue, grey day and Ian Brown's awful vocals made it a huge let down
Mate asked me if i wanted to go to the reunion gigs...thanks but no thanks
Oasis at Earls Court were also rubbish

Seen limelight at several WMC's around Yorkshire many years ago, they weren't a bad band. maybe had a bad night :-(

Went to a Radio 1 concert at Wembley way back in the 80's. Think Elton John was headlining but Big Country came on around 6 and played 1 1/2 tracks and got booed off. Total rubbish, naff sound and out of their depth

David Bowie at Ingleston (Edinburgh) circa 1990. It should've been a great gig but all he wanted to play was the Tin Machine *** he'd brought out at that time.

The Cranberries at the Apollo Manchester. They were to play the MEN but couldn't fill it. Switched to The Apollo, didn't do a sound check, (bad mistake for anyone playing there). Bump, bump, bump went the bass with the lead singer frantically waving, and being ignored, to the sound desk. Sorted for the encore. Exactly the same for Lilly Allen. So a joint first for me.

Steve Earle at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh about 10 years ago. It was just after 9/11 so he walks on, says how he is homesick and doesn't want to be here then puts on a show to prove how much he didn't want to be there.

I left after half an hour.
