While watching the PGA highlights from last weekend I saw for the first time a tour pro driving the ball to the ladies tee. I don't remember his name, some american chap though.

What is the most incredible tour pro bad shot that you remember? Is that on youtube?

Hunter Mahans duff at the 17th in the Ryder cup was pretty cringe-worthy. It was such a big moment and he really was up against it. Felt bad for him.

For a second.

Back in 1990 when Faldo won the Open at St Andrews - me and a few pals turned up at St Andrews the Sunday before the Open started. We went down to the course really early and were just just standing about the 1st tee taking in the amzing vibe of the place when who should turn up - but none other than Jack Nicklaus. He dandered down to the first tee with his caddie and only about half a dozen other people standing round. His caddie through him a ball which he then proceeded to knock on the head 100 yards down the first - I was so shocked. He shouted to his caddie to throw him another ball which he also thinned again 100 yards.

He then stormed off down the first. Once he warmed up he hit the ball like the legend he is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look up darren clarke shank tavistock. Thats how nightmares are made right there! :D Great atitude to it too, we beat ourselves up, pros laugh it off.

LOL great putt, still better than me though...

I watched Thomas Leve (sp) shank a ball into the woods at Wentworth, he then tried to lambast a fan who laughed by saying "think you could do better" to which the very quick fan said "couldn't do any worse".

He took it well but you could see all he wanted to do was hit him with a punched 1iron into his nether regions!

Poulter hit a couple of shanks at the Masters which was funny to see and I remember watching on TV as Torrance at one of the Seniors Open's a few years back shank one on a par way over onto an adjacent hole and still make a par.

I saw Monty shank his approach chip on the 6th East at East Sussex National during the European Open. He shanked it straight into the nasty greenside bunker (which has since had the vertical face removed). It brought me great joy as I was just starting out playing golf and hitting similar shots.
