As it is World book day, all kids are encouraged to go to Skool in fancy dress and take there favourite book. grandson has hid his favourite book and cannot remember where he put it 😳
Asked daughter last night what he is going dressed up as. They all have to go to Skool in there Jim jams. Bet some mums are happy with that eh, train them young to look like parents at Skool .

My 3 year old daughter has gone to nursery today dressed as that iconic literary character - Elsa from Frozen, a modern day classic... To be fair to her she did manage to find a book in which she appeared so suppose it qualifies.

My son's school are doing this tomorrow. One of his friends is going as Christiano Ronaldo because he was on the front of the Match football annual which apparently counts as a book.

Some Wag on Twitter suggested simply not sending them in then claiming the next day that they went as the Invisible Man.....

My son has gone in as the Gruffalo.... he's already got a gruffalo dressing gown so a bit of face paint for his tusks and black tongue and he was sorted.

I think i enjoy the Julia Donaldson books as much as the kids. Cant beat a bit of stickman

back OT - me wee girl went as Angelina Ballerina last year. Think it is a good thing having a day like this

The animated Gruffalo, gruffalo's child and room on the broom are all on Amazon prime video. Those plus the series of Penguins of Madagascar is worth the fee on their own.
Stickman is too new to be on prime yet.

They are all brilliant.

Other favourites from the book series are snail and the whale (my favourite), tiddler (wife's favourite), and tabby Mctat (daughters favourite).

Little ones are off to nursery/school as Simba from the Lion King and as Cinderella.
It's always nice to see the great efforts the teachers go to every year.
