World Cup 2026

Oh I have no doubt they would , Henderson is someone that’s been vastly underrated and undervalued by many for years - he is a hugely influential player still as can be seen by how well he and Brentford have done this season - he will always continue to defy the nonsense
You feel he is under rated but most feel he is over rated.
It’s all about opinions and trying to respect each person has different opinions without being obtuse or rude.

Personally I wouldn’t take him but you would and that’s fine no wrong or right. 👍

Most definitely 👍

End of the day the ones that matter make the choice - the manager and it’s their jobs to make it work

But Tuchel wants him there as part of the playing squad to be that senior voice in the players and on the pitch during potential key moments - the glue as he called him

“"He embodies everything. He is a serial winner, his personality and character. He is the glue in every team that he has played, the glue that makes things special,"

maybe you haven’t listen to the manager to understand why he has picked someone like Henderson and his vast experience as a “player”
My god man you simply can’t accept anyone having an opinion. I don’t care why Tuchal has taken him. I said if I were picking it’s what I’d do.

Sometimes you make yourself look so obnoxious with your replies I can’t work out if you do it for shiggles or you really are that blind to what others say. I bet your the guy at funerals that goes around saying to the old dears “oooh you’re next” just so at some point you can see “see I was right “ 🙄

I've actually weirdly come around to the idea of Henderson being in the squad - as long as he's not starting of course. If you're winning a tight game 1-0 and under a bit of pressure in the latter stages, who do you bring on to steady the ship and keep everyone focussed in the middle of the park? 21-year-old Mainoo or 22-year-old Wharton are not the guy. Henderson is really the only player for that sort of job. We're probably only going to see him in the last 10 or 15 minutes of the knockout ties I would say.

And that’s exactly what the manager has said is part of the reason why he is still picked , both Klopp and Andrews have highlighted that from Henderson in the past

Henderson played over 60 mins in 15 out of 19 games first half of the season, Brentford lost 8 times.

Second half of the season, he only played 60+ mins 6 times. Brentford only lost 5 times in the second half of the season. In all Brentford's wins second half of the season, Henderson played less than 60 mins or wasn't playing at all.

I struggle to see how Henderson has been influential for Brentford. If some unknown player had come into Brentford and did exactly what Henderson did, nobody would mention him at all. He'd just blend into the background. But, because it is Henderson and Brentford did pretty well this season, suddenly some people assume a lot of it is to do with Jordan Henderson. Even if you forget players in other postions like Thiago, Collins, Kelleher, etc, midfielders like Dango, Schade, Damsgaard, Yarmoliuk and Jensen are likely way ahead of Henderson. There are likely strong objective arguments that they have out performed Henderson.

Calling him "hugely" influential seems to be an extreme exaggeration.

He's definitely been highly influential if you don't watch any Brentford games and have no idea who their other players are. (y)

They are claiming that the state normally subsidises the fares but they don't think the tax payer should subsidise football fans 🤷. I don't believe a $10 fare should actually cost $140, that doesn't add up to me. So yes, it looks like they are profiteering as well as FIFA.
Wow, I think we should cut TFL, SWR, SR, ... some slack then.

We had our own farce during London 2012 where while travel was free with ticket we had drivers striking before because it is so much harder to open and close doors and push leaver when there are more people on the train.

Last night BBQ discussion was unanimous. Henderson should not be in the squad. I have yet to hear, read or have some devine communication that he should be.
I agree
Great player in the past.
But to leave MGW out and take Hendo dosnt make football sense on the pitch.
Give him a back room job if you want him there.

But he’s a “legend!”

You'd have to think German Tom is having a laugh at our expense. "I'll put Henderson in the squad, that'll reduce expectations".

I mean he’s probably not even a legend in his own home. Also not sure what football people have watched this year but he barely played for Brentford in 2nd half the season but I guess that meets the Liverpool legend criteria 😂
But surely the 2 managers in The Middle East & Holland got the full “Hendo experience” didn’t they?
