Woohoo! First cut!

Well, first cut that affects my playing handicap, anyway.

Yay! 39 pts in the Bank Holiday Stableford today. Good enough for 4th and a 1.2 cut. Only downer was that I only had 1 point on the last two holes, so threw a way a chance to win it.

Still, at least I'm no longer on 28!

Does anyone else regularly walk off thinking about what could have been?

I just can't get the two blobs and four 1 pointers out of my head. Should have had another 4 points at least, were it not for stupid mistakes.

There's always a shot or 3 that you look back on and think "Why?"
Don't forget them. Tuck them away in the memory banks so next time you know what not to do!

always leave some shots on the course I've been told.
I often leave 20 so plenty to go back for

You'll always leave some out there. Even the pros say that. Be happy with the progress and now you've made the move I'm sure you'll find it easier to get cut. Sometimes 28 can seem like a stigma and I don't mean that detrimentally. I had some good mates who were 28's and were great in roll ups but once they were in a comp they had a "I'm 28 so can't play well" mindset. Once they got the first cut they flew and one went from 28-22 in a season
