Going down there for a couple of days playing both courses with 11 other guys. It will be a hell of a slog both off and on the Course. Very competitive mates.

Any tips other than take plent of balls!

Enjoy every minute of it. The Hotchkin is amazing. You will never play anywhere like it again.

And practice your bunker shots before you go. Alot.

Played there last year, fantastic course and exp. Bunkers are great, the are so deep that you have to commit to the shot fully. You will have a wonderful time.

We are only down for 2 days palying Bracken once and Hotkiss 3 times I think. The better one 3 times.

Nothing else planned as we have spoiled ouselves this year playing among others , Hillside , West lancs, S and A, Southerness , Powfoot, Moor Town , Moor Allerton , Sand Moor and Pannal and Fulford. Not a bad list in 3 months!

Now the cash has dried up! Thanks for all your advice

The Oxfordshire has a bunker on a longish par 3 (15th) that is about 120 yards long. And several other holes with bunkers totalling about 120-140 yards long. Just fall into that and you might have to play 3 bunker shots to get out - or even more!

If you think that bunker is bad you should avoid the ones on the right of the 5th.
Have a good time, stunning golf course. Don`t get too greedy out of the heather. Oh yes, and hit it straight.
