Just got back from our trip to Woodhall Spa.

I would like to say thanks to everyone who helped when I asked on here for it.

I have to say the place is amazing, the Bracken course would be a number one course anywhere else and was a really good fun test despite the weather.

The Hotchkin course is amazing, this is by far the hardest test of golf I have ever attempted, walked off yesterday really pleased with 33 points and a par on the 12th after the birdie put lipped out. Today the Hotchkin took me apart and no I could not get out of the left hand bunker on the 12th after I stuffed my tee shot into it.

The fairways are fantastic too I have played on worse greens

The bunker on the 1st over to the right was enough to welcome me to the course. I landed the green fortunately on the 12th and walked off happily with a par. Hoping to go back later in the year to play it wind-free.

Were the staff ok, there's one right bellend who works there. Cant remember what it said on his NAME BADGE :D. The breakfast in the clubhouse was lovely though...

I have to say on the first day the guy in the shop was not the most helpful, all the others were great.

The marshals on the first tees were good guys too, especially the one on the Bracken who watched me sky my first drive OB onto the road

Best try get in the mid am or autumn open your invite back has just been revoked! :D

It is one great place to visit anyone not been should go.

I pitch the green on 12 and ended up in that bunker, 2 out sorry to say.

It's a sensational golf course. Agree that people should get out and play it!
 
Where are you staying mate?

I'm coming up from Cardiff straight after some graft so might get somewhere near Leicester on the way.

I managed to thin a 8 or 9 iron to about 6 feet, awful shot, never got above 3 feet. Mate hit a lovely high shot but just too far left and ended up in that bunker. Against the side. Took him 3 shots to get out.

How I laughed. He didn't see the funny side. Funnily enough.

Not sure if Kraxx has been in touch yet, but he's looking to something sorted before you head of on your hols, actually writing that, he must have been in touch otherwise he wouldn't have known about your hols, that or he's become a medium.
