Yesterday i had the pleasure of being invited by Glyn (Lincoln Quaker) to play in the Alverstone Trophy at Woodhall Spa.

What an amazing day i had.

Notable things that happened -

1. Glyn had a hole in one on the 8th!
2. my playing partner (off 2) lost in a play-off against a 14 handicapper who rolled in a 25ft birdie putt on the first hole of the playoff. sickening considering he had been sat there for 2hrs waiting for everyone to come in.
3. i came 4th nett and 5th gross, and was the only person to shoot a round under par nett all day! CSS was +4 and +5 for the rounds off the YELLOWS!!

Fantastic course and event, but a hole in one is always a highlight

Well played and congrats to Glyn for the HIO, was it a big bar bill?

Cheers, Hole in one was a bonus.

The 0.4 cut from the AM round was even more of a surprise.

Good shooting from you Sam.

Odvan was £20 out of pocket by the end of the day as well so that was an added bonus :D

Well done Glyn, the only man to celebrate a HIO by buying everyone in the clubhouse a packed of crisps each.

:D
