i am wanting to get a 3 wood of 15degrees. when i was searching on the tinternet i saw a ping g10 hybrid of 15 degrees. but my question is what is the difference between a wood and a hybrid?

is it just the obvious of the head size or is it something more complex

Shorter shaft I think you will find in the hybrid and designed to and normally easier to hit form a variety of lies.

You will get more use out of the hybrid generally but prob not as much distance. Depends what you want the club for.

Is it to gap a certain distance?

Wow carry 250 driver and only 180 with a 5 wood.

I would bin the 5 wood and buy a 3wood and maybe the 3 hybrid aswell.

To be honest thopugh you are best going somewhere to be fitted for them, it wont cost you anything usually and you will be able to pick clubs and shafts that bridge that massive gap correctly.

I carry my driver about 220-230 and have a 3 wood that carrys about 200. I also have a 4 hybrid that carrys about 180-190 so the gaps are quite well filled

i only take out 13 clubs so comprimising on distance with a 4 wood would be golfing hell because if i needed to change, i.e. to a 15degree wood and 19degree hybrid, then im stuck with a 4 wood which is bang in the middle
