Woo Hoo.....Im in the final !!

Semi Final of a Club knockout today, played at 4pm in damn near perfick conditions, warm, no wind, and course in fantastic nick.

Flew outa da blocks to be 3 up after 3, and then traded holes pretty much all the way round, finishing a 3&2 victor

Stuck with my trusty TM 3 Wood most of the way to keep it in play, before ripping my Driver on the 469yd 16th for the 1st time, hitting the green with a very satisfying 5 iron 2nd shot, and a safe 2 putt for a 4.

Final to be played before Oct 4th, so high hopes to get my name in Gold leaf on the boards around the Clubhouse.

Bring it on !!

Congrats Chris, Im in our final also, first time getting near anything special in the club. Got to have the final played inside the 18th too. Thing is, Im playing badly but winning, last year I couldnt win a bean playing ok.
Every half shot and par 3 tee shot is a disaster, Im just getting round the par 4 and 5's better.

I'm in the finals day of a club I'm not even a member of having won their invitation day with my friend. Their invitation day is split into two and the winners of both play off in finals day!

Played in my final this morning under a fantastic blue sky, the standard of golf was great one second and pants the next. I managed to take the match 4&2 (I was 2 down after 2 with some stupid shot decisions) so have notched up my first trophy since joining the club in 2006.

Well done Brendy, I don't matter really how good the golf is when you win. Got a 36 hole senior champion final myself on sun 20th.
