Wonderful gesture by Ishikawa

Japans Ryo Ishikawa has stated he is going to donate his whole seasons earning to the victims of the tragic events back in his home land.

For a 19 year old I find his gesture staggering beyond belief and it shows the maturity of this outstanding young talented man. Hope he wins at Augusta now this week.

Good luck and I hope you have multiple victories this year.
 
Yea, this was mentioned a week or so ago...Absolutely selfless gesture from such a young man. And like you, as much as I'd love one of our own to win it, I wouldn't be upset if Ryo ended up winning it all.

Ok its a par 70 but what a legend at 18!!!!

I've backed him at 250/1 for the masters just hope he plays well.

He is by far my favourite golfer just hope he progresses like I know he can.

The gesture just sums up what kind of guy this bloke is.

I know it won't happen but you'd think the rest of the tour players could all donate a % of their winnings to 'top up' Ryo's gesture.

IF he wins the tournement I'll give the winnings from my bet to the Japan Fund.

Not defending Waynes actions but you cannot compare the two!!!

Wayne gets abuse everytime he plays, and as he's been off the boil this season the critics come out to slate him.

Don't think Ryo gets called every name under the sun when he doesn't play his best.

Like I say not excusing it but Wayne does more than his fair share for charities.
 
But Rooney needs to do MORE than give some of his exorbitant pay packet to charity. He needs to be a POSITIVE role model.

As Aztecs mentioned I took my hat off to Ryo when I first heard this story. Amazing gesture.

Awww didumms, the nasty people are saying he's playing rubbish, when he's er, playing rubbish. Difference is, if he plays badly he still gets paid, if Ryo misses the cut he gets nowt. I know which one I'd rather dated my daughter
