What a joke! Nadal and Verdasco spend 5 hours on the court to settle their semi-final in Melbourne. Nadal still has Federer in the final. Meanwhile, Miss Williams strolls past her ''opponent'' to win the girls' final in 58 minutes. She will pocket more cash than tomorrow's loser. Ridiculous!

They should only get the same if the match potentially lasts the same length of time.

I know the men have been paid more for years but they do sometimes have to go to 5 sets. The girls never play more than 3. What happened to equality.

And well done to laura Robson even though she lost in the final. She should be a great hope for Grand Slams in a few years time.

I don't get why the women still play 3 sets. It isn't like they are weak and feable. Serena is bigger and stronger than me. She looks way capable of a 5 setter.

Equal money should come with equal entertainment.

Yeah. ladies sport has advanced a great deal & yet only 3 sets in tennis.

Oh & I miss the 1970's & the frilly knickers... Now that's a great loss to the game.

Equal prize money for ladies is PC madness.

They cried about the sexism and all that which we know is a load of shite.

The men play longer games so should get more cash, simple.

If someone does a 2 hour shift and someone 4 the man who does 4 would get paid more so why not in tennis.

Yeah if its equal rights it should be equal... Whether pay, hours worked time off for matternaty leave. Retirement leave...etc, etc, etc.
