Watching currently, nice to see.

Looks fairly empty from spectators wish I had a day off and gone there, drove past all the signs on the M1 yesterday for it. Would love to see Wolburn again in the flesh in nicer weather, maybe next year if held there.

Anyone know what equivalent tees they play from ?

Some low scores, come on Charley:thup:

Had to turn it off.

Pace o play is glacial and not helped by the number of players relying upon their caddies for alignment.

Jason (all) Day would seem speedy alongside some out there.

The death of golf ... I managed 35 minutes and that was more than enough.

On saying that, I'm pretty sure that there will be some guys that enjoy it as a spectator sport!

Commentator and lady professional doing expert opinion view on Aimpoint putting method is that they are not fans as anything that makes golf slower is not a great thing - and that it takes away an element of instinct. Ooh - controversial....

And did Peter Alliss really refer to one of the younger Asian players as 'tottie'?- really Peter! Though I have to say that she is rather cute. Mind you maybe as the lass is a wee bit thing he actually said she was toatie.

That was Cotter commentating with the Swedish golfer not Allis and Cotter didn't call her tottie - Allis has been very complementary of the ladies and their game and said us club golfers should watch the ladies swing more often as its a pleasure to watch - even said Feng is one of the best golfers he has seen unless it was earlier in the coverage ?

Think the lpga typically play from somewhere about 6500-6700 yards

A British Open on a parkland course, and playing it shorter than hacker visitors play it.

Just doesn't seem right, either point.

Cheers, thanks pretty long then for how far they hit it. Though some of the ladies really bomb the ball like Lexi Thompson. Quite enjoying watching it.

M Lee is 9 under, crazy. Charley finished on 3 under.

Looks like back to Scotland next year, going to be held at Kingbarns. Oh well wont see it next year!! As region3 says weird its on a parkland course though and the dress code must have the old members tutting:rofl:

It was indeed Cotter and Alfredsson who commented on aimpoint. The Alliss comment was from earlier when he was commentating with Cotter. Of course I might have misheard - but I don't think so. Nonetheless I have enjoyed Alliss's commentary today as I always do - occasional faux pas aside.

I am sure we'll hear about it if he did - apologies to him if he didn't

Terrible from the BBC, got some great golf being played by the current leader Lee and they go off air! Live and uninterrupted coverage it's billed as but you don't get to see the end, pathetic from the BBC, and for what, only another 30/45 minutes, but hey, let's not finish the live coverage because of the Antiques Roadshow 😡

From St Andrews mind you...:)

Suggestion on the PGA thread that the womens open goes on the red button at the end of each day for an extra hour or so if that helps. Haven't checked though as I'm not home yet.

Well, you wouldn't even know it was on if you follow Golf Monthly on twitter or read the latest news on the forum and website. P poor IMO.

What I heard was him referring to her diminutive stature in comparison to her playing partners by calling her a "tiny tot".

Perhaps not the kindest observation but somewhat different to "tottie".

Nope, not on the red button, first place I looked, in fact, not even a mention or any news on it or results from it shown, and yet people hold the BBC in higher regard than Sky, your having a larf 😂
