Hi Guys,

Midlander making the trip down south to play in a works Stableford competition later in the month.

Any info about this place would be great, the website is pretty looking but doesn't give too much info.

Thanks

I've got corporate membership there so play it about once a month. It is nice enough, quite open so its difficult to lose a ball around there. On quite a few holes (especially on the front 9) you end up with the ball above or below your feet. A few nice holes (8, 9, 17 & 18) and a few testing ones too.

It's ok but the busist one in their group, it's not the best of their course but on the flip its always mint, would just be nice if the bunkers were in better nick as they were shocking at the start of the year,

I prefer playing it on a breezy day as it makes it a touch more interesting. Expect high scores, normally 40+ points needed to be in the running as its a course you can hack around with plenty of room, the best scores I've seen there was a use 13 capper shopping 51 points.... And he is a true 13

it's OK. I played it in April, the greens were ropey, you can't lose a ball (except on the 10th)

It's good fun though

This time of year the greens should be mint, the prob with early spring is they will never shut it, I've played it where the 5th dog leg had a 180 yard carry over waterlogged rough, yet they were still letting biggies out.

In the winter it's abused, but this time of year it plays at its best

The big day is on saturday, Im sure you gents don't spend alot of time in there but do you know what the rough is like? Are we talking a foot high just off the green as it does look fairly open?

The rough shouldn't be too bad, but it will be thick enough, if the other courses in the group are anything to go by. Westerham's rough is a pain at the moment, partly due to the wet weather we'd had, but then it's rough. It's not supposed to be short!

Enjoy the day, mate.
