How shallow are the yanks on advertising, the beach on the uspga tournament has a bunch of young adults. Each has great skin, hair, body no woggly eyes or buck teeth, so definitely not your average yank. ;)

But funnily enough not a towel, drink or book......come to think of it they are just there, not sure youd be sat watchin a golf tounament with no refreshment for a whole day.

I think the yanks really need to get a grip and instead of keeping showing this 'fake' beach, sort out the footage, lose some adverts and get a decent golf show on the tele.

Anybody else think sky is getting worse and worse, we pay subscription but then have to endure 2 mins of adverts every ten minutes. Surely with all the revenue for advertising there should be a reduction in subs

Ads were just mentioned, title says it all, its about the beach at wyndham, surely you saw thag between the ads that pop up on the browser
:D

And to be fair I am sure they need anything they can to generate interest in some low level tournament with hardly any big names in it the week after the PGA. Hell it's so easy even Tiger has made the cut. So if that means half naked teenagers on a fake beach then bring it in. Rather that than watching Bryce Molder.

Is your compaint the lack of realism on the beach? Or that it's being shown on TV?

Also, I could be wrong, but aren't the adverts on Sky 4 breaks per hour? I can't say it bothers me.

Lack of realism and also that its shown when not real or golf related.

Not answering about ads, as that for another thread if snyone is interested, was just filling space in op

I cringe everytime I see a thread title on here with some reference to "yanks" and usually with a wide-sweeping, insulting generalisation of an entire country. I imagine the_coach reading it and thinking what a xenophobic lot we are.

Not seen the ad but good looking young folk on a beach doesn't sound so bad to me!

I apologise in advance, the post is aimed at the coverage not the american people, well maybe a little :D only kidding

I'm all for seing nice people on beaches but not on a fake basis, on holiday, in a brcuhure that show a holiday, but in the middle of a golf course ..........really

Well they think we are all repressed homosexuals with bad teeth who watch Downton Abbey. Which I find very offensive.

As I've never watched an episode of Downton Abbey in my life...

I remember this last night and thinking how good it must be to be able to play golf in such a beautiful surroundings, with the added bonus of being able to admire the view on the beach as well as the golf course.
and the place lpdoes look pretty amazing tbf.
i agree though that the coverage can be a bit dull - sky have to take the U.S. Feed on lots of tournaments though so it's not all their fault.

I said a wide-sweeping generalisation of a nation, not a succinct description of one!

Not on track, but this is the only thread on the Wyndham.

Why is the sky coverage only centred on two groups? (Funny the presenter keeps apologising) I know they are only broadcasting what they're been given, so it's down to the American networks. It's not normally like this though is it?
Hopefully it'll expand over the weekend
