Wishon Golf sold - to (UK company) Diamond Golf International

Hmm, that's quite shocking. Does the company have any worth without him? I know it says he is staying in a roll but it wont be forever and he is somewhat the visionary of that whole concept.

It does make you wonder what will become of the Wishon line. Diamond seems to be a 'distribution only' business - and only for Wishon heads (and a range of shaft offerings), though has recently created a 'making, fitting and repairs' academy - but that's a far cry from head design!

As one of the posters in the Wishon link noted, there's a lot of change (shrinkage) happening in the golf hardware/sales business - Nike's withdrawl, TM sale, Golfsmith's Chapter 11 and (a couple of years ago) Dicks sacking 550+ in-store Pros.

true - guess Tom not so young anymore
.... looking for a solid retirement plan maybes?

along with a bigger distribution line for his new line 'single length shafts' - while bryson is providing some spread of coverage (even if the club specs are pretty different bryson to wishon except for the single length commonality)

Wishon through Dynacraft a company he was president of has been involved in a collaboration with Diamond for over 30 years

Diamond are not just a distribution company, they specialize heavily in the fitting procees, hardware needed for fitting etc.

as well as training club fitters, believe they still have the contract to train PGA UK.

As a Wishon user, it's kind of sad that Tom is heading towards retirement even if it is just semi. But it's great to know DGi are still going to supply Wishon. And that suits me down to the ground.

From the forum on Wishon web site and from Tom himself.

Absolutely - Diamond Golf would not be taking over the Wishon Golf brand and not doing that. They take over the whole product line as it is in our 2016 catalog minus a couple of minor products. And I will continue to do product development and new model design work into the future.

Thanks !!
TOM
