So today i am going for my first round of golf in a long time (probably 10 years or more. With various complication in my life since i last played i think it will be an interesting round and all i am hoping for is to get a scratch score below 100 (used to play of 20 but that was before i started on my medical treatment) Time to layer up get out there and pit myself against the elements (really wish now i hadn't thrown away my old golf equipment had some very nice warm )

So i am off to Concorde Golf Club in Sheffield for this experimental round as it is very close to where i live. Potentially going to look at joining Beauchief Golf Club a they have quite a big active ladies section plus they have a rather nice water hole so i have been told lol

Don't put any expectations upon yourself other than that you'll enjoy it. Do post up how it goes!

There's 50 mph winds here and slashing rain and the course is closed

Nah then me duck, hope you manage to knock it stiff. What a day for a baptism of fire. Don't beat yourself up to much coz the weather is atrocious. Am in Mansfield and am happy am changing nappies today. Even though I think Layla has grown another six legs. There flippin sudocrem everywhere.
A slab of rocky road and a can of John smiths at the halfway house will get you home. Hope it goes well and have a good soak it the tin tub to get warm when you get home.
welcome to the forum.
just had a look on there website and it looks like they do indeed have a decent women's section.

Its a good time to start your journey.

Winter is a time for keeping your game ticking over, bedding in what you can learn from lessons, all in the harshest conditions. Dont expect too much.

Then when it gets to April, the sun comes out and you can play more and after work - then the improvements may start.

Well shooting a round of 91 on a par 68 i am relatively happy with. Got a couple of pars during the round and the conditions were not as bad after an hour of play or so and worst hole 3 over and 1 lost ball so all in all a good day out

Off for a bath now because i ache lol

Good shooting sir and hope you can get to join somewhere and start playing regularly. Sounds like there is still a competent golfer in there

Homer you bad man, that's the sort of thing Delc would type. Your getting close to an infraction. PMSL though.

Did say you would be having a bath, have a good soak and well shot Ma'am. Oh you will be playing some of them shots again whilst havin a soak.

PS, did you have any rocky road.
