Immelman was the first wire-to-wire major winner since Ray Floyd’s second major win in the 1976 masters

Is Immelman the first person to go wire-to-wire to win their first major?


Think Lorena Ochoa may have done it at St Andrews last year but I cant think of anybody to do it in the men’s game

Anybody know?

Apparently we aren't allowed to call it a Wire to wire because Justin Rose was tied with him on day one.
It was a wire to wire though.
