It wont be long before it's on us again, so what do you do?
Do you play in all weather, carry a half set in a pencil bag, only play if it's nice or give up till spring ?

carry on as normal. We are on full course till end of Nov, then we have mats from the fairway and a 4 of the shorts par 4's become 175 yard par 3's.

play with same set. just play less, usually the weekends except Christmas where i tend to play every day apart from CD as i'm off for 2 weeks.

Playing whenever weather is allowing it. Carry a slightly reduced set when course policy requires it (hedgehog trolleys are normally allowed as well, I even have one, but normally find it too bothersome). Since daylight is so sparse, I often only play 9 or 12 holes anyway during that time. I refuse to keep score in winter, though. Too frustrating :D

I bought a carry bag in the direct golf closing down sale last year.. its my range bag but also once winter hits becomes my winter bag.. I have a push trolley and an electric one (the electric one I have hedgehogs for) so covers any basis really

last resort would be to carry.. drop down to about 10 clubs

Play on through, we will probably be on mats in December depending on the weather, although not compulsory I will probably get some hedgehog wheels this year.

Last year I would have had the clubs out every weekend as long as the course was open. This year, probably not. That desire to play irrespective has pretty much gone to the extent that I have probably played twice in the last month. Suspect that this winter will be the odd game when the weather is nice. As it seems to be done by a number of people at our club, part of me is tempted to kick my membership into touch for the rest of the year before signing up to a new place in April.

Same bag, same trolley. I may lose the odd club, SW is easy to drop, but I will keep most as I use the winter to practice certain shots and clubs. I don't play if it is horrible but I will play at points in the winter.

Want to play all year round but I really can't stand the cold weather. Always lose interest early on in the round when it's cold/wet. Will probably play a few more rounds this year and then hibernate until late March. Will still go to the range though as they have heaters haha!

I play all year round, snow or really bad weather permitting, but I do live in the Soft Sarf. If I can't use a trolley, it's half a set of clubs in a carry bag.

Tend to play either day of the weekend, depending on the forecast and use the other day to work on areas of my game. If it's open I'll go out I'll venture out but won't bother if it's frozen or we're on temporary greens. It becomes too much of a lottery and I'd rather do some constructive practice. I'll use a trolley (unless banned) and will use hedgehog wheels if instructed although last year the club trialled the winter without them. Not heard what the outcome of that was and whether they'll be back this winter

Apparently, after insisting on Hedgehog wheels up to now, they are now banned by our club for the coming Winter because of all the little indentations you get on muddy fairways. We, the members, are rather upset about this after spending lots of money to equip our trolleys with Hedgehog wheels!
