How much of a loss do you think you can expect when playing in temperatures of about 2 degrees? and the air is very damp and misty?

In comparison to the middle of Summer?

Depends on what club you are using and prob how high a ball you hit

Maybe around 20 yards with a driver - but not much with shorter irons

bunch of things that make a difference. high compression balls are made to perform to optimum between 70º-90º. for every 10º lower than around 50º you'll lose in carry because of the air temp approx 2 yards.
air is denser provides more resistance to the ball flight.

but the ball's temp also affects it's capabilities, so if it's stored in the cold there's less resilience, the ball doesn't contract & expand as good so you also get a few mph less of the face, it won't bounce as high (assuming cold not freezing ground temps) so less roll, less carry.

if it's a good ways cold, in terms of carry you can be looking at 1 or 2 clubs more needed, that's without any wind to also affect flight.

if it's cold your a deal better off playing a softer compression ball.

not good to store clubs or golf balls in the trunk/garage where there's no heat. if it's freezing where you are those temps damage the adhesive, becomes too hard & you can lose the heads from the shafts ......

About a club's distance. I tend to play for middle of the greens with my yardages and just take one more for the given yardage on the Sky Caddy. Not scientific but seems to be working (when I put a half decent swing on it)
