I am so rock and roll!!! Oh yes with fathers day approaching I may be looking to oust a wheelbarrow from my gift list to be replaced by window cleaning equipment :o

The amount it would cost to pay someone to do it I may as well invest in the stuff and do it myself. No idea where to start though. They all have these amazing squeegee's that leave the glasses sparkling and clean it in nano seconds.

All advice and guidance on that and ladders gratefully received.

I promise at some point I will start buying golf stuff again!!!! :o

Don't
You'll fall off and do yourself a nasty
I pay a bloke £15 a time, does it every 6 weeks in the summer, 8 weeks in the winter,
It would take me much longer and I'd probably kill myself in the process.

Now if you are looking at indoor windows, there are some good looking steam ones around, but look at reviews :)

But phil
a) that's another 135 quid a year I've got to find
b) I've got a pretty good sense of balance
c) I've only got four upstairs windows
d) I could get one of those telescopic jobber
E) I like to live life on the edge cleaning windows and mowing lawns ;)

Dont forget to switch off the laptop before trying to use water to clean your Windows. I hear Windows 7 is easier to clear than Windows Vista.. :ears:

Get yourself a Karcher window vac. I picked one up in Homebase last weekend as they were on half price. Mrs Colch was delighted by her new present. Wash the windows as normal and then use the window vac to suck the soapy water off. Superb results and it's cordless so you'd be able to do the outside windows up a ladder with it as well.

Oooooh that sounds like a plan  how much is half price? £47 at the moment...

You should also use one of these, say, twice a year.

You can then use it on your car, it's what it was designed for and they are awesome ...................... and on offer at Halfords!

All this gear is a waste of money if you don't use RO water, its the only way to keep your windows/glass clean properly.

£15 to clean your windows?
Do you live in a glasshouse?

I have an adjustable broom handle fluffy cotton thingy.
Once over with soapy water, once over with clean water then rubber squeegy like the pro's use.
Takes about 20 mins to do 12 windows perfectly.

Inside Mr Muscle window cleaner with paper towel.
