Wind Red Warning

Currently clearing all the clutter from the garden and putting away the patio furniture.. We're right in the firing line for the winds as we have nothing behind us but fields.. We've already lost a roof tile a few weeks ago and are bracing ourselves for a few more coming off..

I've put all our wheelie bins away in the garage. Chickens have gone into hiding. Our Eucalyptus got blown down last time and I'm hoping that the nieghbours tree at the bottom of the garden doesn't come down this time. It's dead but the ivy all over it holds it up..........

Been watching the winds get stronger all day, the neighbours eucalyptus tree is taking a right battering, as long as the wind stays coming from the south or west we should be okay.

I expect that there will be a few solar panels flying around too. If so they are going to cause lots of damage. It was bad in Weymouth this morning, torrential rain for about 2 hours solid.

Took the Dog for a walk on Malvern Common just now and nearly took off a few times. The dog was in danger of being injured by her flapping Spaniel ears.

We've missed the worst of it but still had winds of 87 MPH down here. It's mad when you don't think it's too bad with gusts of nearly 90 MPH!
I was at work loading a lorry with scrap timber when the worst of the rain hit this morning and thought I'd be ok as there wasn't that much left to go onto the lorry but I was soaked to the skin when I had finished.
Hope you are all safe in the north east this evening.

Looking as bad as the winds you can get down the Falklands - there you can hit a wedge in the air and end up with it behind you :D

Its mad here at the moment.

The road outside is under 3 inches of hail..... but at least the lightening has stopped.

Lost most of the back fence. Several roof tiles. A wheelie bin and nearly lost the dog when she decided that she was enjoying the wind a bit too much. Been interesting!!

Well the wind has died down a bit except when a hail storm blows through then it really picks up. Thunder and lightning a plenty but it does look like we are getting a restbite tomorrow then it's back to gales down here as it looks like we are going to bare the brunt of it again.
