Hi just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with the Wilson fat shaft fairway woods. I have got TM v steel 3& 5 which are great, but my son has taken a shining to them and I can get the Wilsons cheaper new than some stuff second hand.

Also have toyed with the idea of a 4 wood particularly the Mizuno instead of a 3 & 5 which would give me an extra lob wedge in the bag.
Anyones opinion much appreciated

Jeff

Have a few m8's who play with fat shaft irons m8. Not sure about the woods but they get on well with the irons.

No way of your son trying a club before he purchases? Or should I rephrase that, before you purchase for him lol.

I seem to recall that the shafts are very whippy in comparison to other brands. Could be wrong but I'm sure I remember waggling a regular shafted one in a shop and thinking I'd got hold of a soft/ladies shaft.

I had a set of Fat Shafts back in the late 90's when they first came out. They were ok and did what they set out to do in reducing torque but were very difficult to shape. I'm sure they have refined them since then but personally wouldn't look at a set of fat shafts again

I'm no expert far from it, for 10/15 pounds
I would get him The Perfect Club to start off with
and once he starts making progress you can then look
at the top end of the market
