A senior friend of mine, who is a pretty good golfer, swears by the Wilson DX2 Soft golf ball. Can anybody tell me the difference between the DX2 and the DX3 balls, apart from a £2 per dozen difference in price?

In terms of performance?clearly somethings are too obvious for some people..........
the DX2 is a 2 piece construction
the DX3 is a 3 piece construction
simples

Believe that the DX2 is only 40 compression, which is pretty soft. 90 to 100 used to be normal! :mmm:I always thought the diffeence between the 2 was similar to prov1 and v1x. Higher spin?
Never tired DX3 though as tbh the DX2 is the d's b's
So do they both feel like hitting marshmellows? I've never tried one as I have never yet found one in the rough (our members tend to use Pro V's!). :mmm:they are both 40 compression
they both have the same cover material and dimple pattern (before you go there too)
Dx2, plays like an ad333 or titleist velocity
Dx3, plays like a ad333 tour or nxt tour

Wouldn't a ball made of butter just stick to the club and go nowhere??? :mmm:Hitting an iron with these balls is like hitting butter. They have a tremendous feel.
So youre saying an AD333 tour is like an NXT tour?
