Will Tiger or Rory win another Major?

I think McIlroy has more chance simply as he has more years and to date less injuries to worry about. It's possible Woods may win another but he'll not beat Jack's record imo although that's probably for another thread. The thing with McIlroy though is he seems to be having trouble at the moment making four good rounds together.

The problem for both though is there are far more contenders these days that are capable and so it makes it that much harder although I like the fact that many more are in with a shout. Makes it exciting viewing

Yes McIlroy will win another major - in fact believe he will win a fair amount more

Woods - no don't think he will

Woods will win another major and when he does I can see him breaking Jacks record! Don't be surprised if his next is the PGA this yr, followed by a win at the masters 15.........he is also sitting nicely poised at the open so you never know!

Dream on , too many class players around and many not won one yet , not saying he wont win again but seve or faldo were great players and only only won 5 & 6 . As for Rory , i think he will win a few more and be the next man to do the grandslam of majors

Rory should - emphasis on "should" win a few more, maybe ending up with 6 or 7. If he can post a decent score today he has a good chance this week.
The reasons Tiger hasn't won one since '08 are still around.
Injury, wayward off the tee and more competition from more players plus the increase in pressure to beat Jack. It's only going to increase with every Major that passes. He may well win another one or maybe even 2 but I feel that will be his limit.

Rory should do the career grand slam. His game is probably best suited to Augusta, with length and a high drawing flight, but he should also snag an Open, having been brought up on links golf. He is also course record holder at Portrush with a 61, so he can play a bit. As his game further matures, he should get better able to cope with the ups and downs of links. It took Phil a while.

Tiger obviously can still win majors. I wouldn't be surpassed if he won another couple, but I don't think he will overhaul Nicklaus now. He has let 6 years of peak golf pass without a major.

I think they will both win more majors. If woods can stay fit then why not, he still has some good years ahead of him and as for Rory, while I dont suppose he'll dominate golf, he is more then up to the task of picking up quite a few more.

I also think Rory will win the career Grand Slam, i will also say if he had stayed with Chubby and didn't get his head turned by $$$ there is a possibility he may have done it by now given how he finished the end of 2012 after winning the PGA championship and winning 2 from 4 of the Fed Ex play offs and his performance in the singles in the Ryder Cup against Bradley. His hardest major will be the Open, he hits the ball so high his game isnt really suited to links weather, that said he's started great this year.

I don't think Tiger will win another, his best chance IMO was last season where his early season form was superb and going into Augusta he could have got it done, he had a bit of misfortune when he hit the flag and spun into the water however he got good fortune by being allowed to stay in when many suggested he should have been DQ'd.

Tiger is 38 now, his body is patched up now so how long he can keep putting the pressure his swing does on it is anyones guess. Sure you can look at Phil, Ernie and Darren for evidence of majors recently being won in your 40's but I'd suggest Ernie won after Adam Scott's collapse as did Phil with Westwood's last year.

We are lucky to have these guys around so win or not in the majors, just seeing them perform at the top of leaderboards is enough to keep us entertained IMO.

I'm beginning to see Spieth as the next Sergio Garcia, great talent, destined to win majors - but doesn't!

Hope to be proved wrong of course:thup:

I have a feeling you may have hit the nail on the head, very similar. Garcia for me remains to be the one player on tour who has failed to fulfill his potential. He's wealthy and has won a bit but he should have won so much more.

I'd hope Speith proves us all wrong, likeable guy and a great talent.
