Interesting idea...

Fine if you can get clubs to your exact specs but what is the chances of that happening....very little I would think.

Still think I would rather shell out the extra coin to ensure I have the right weapons in my hand for my golf holiday..we spend alot of money getting there and of course on golf/accommodation and car hire etc so another what £10 max aint going to get me thinking!

It is promising that you'll have the club of your choice and I'm sure in the early stages whilst the publicity bandwagon is rolling that'll be the case the majority of the time. However I'm sceptical that if it takes off that in high season the demand will outstrip supply especially for top end models and wouldn't be surprised to see certain additional fees added to guarantee you get the clubs you want.

I like the idea and can see the lure especially for those jetting out on a late booking or who might only be allowed one round of golf on the trip by HID). Definitely worth keeping an eye on and seeing how it takes off

Looks like a good idea to me. I'd certainly consider it as dragging your clubs through airports is a right pain and providing you can order the spec you want it may work out both easier and cheaper. Maybe a chance to try out something new too, it's only holiday golf after all so perhaps a good time to do so. Anyone know if this is up and running yet or just an idea - can't see any links in the article.

I would be cautious, what are the chances of getting exactly what you are after? I'm sure the CF guys would have a heart attack if they had to go that route.
Now if they did the same deal with wives.....

Now if they did the same deal with wives.....

I could be tempted to hire a wife for e35 a week. In fact, I might hire 3 or 4, send the Missus to a spa and claim I'm going on a golf holiday...and don't need to take club 'cause easyclub are doing me a set from the airport.

Trouble is, will they suit my game (the wives, that is)?

:)

Think its a great idea ,i've been robbed to many times by ryanair for club transportation,i'm amazed no one has come up with the idea before this.
Your on holiday so does it have to be custom fitted ? i wouldn't have thought so.

I had this idea last year.
Pick up the hire car and clubs from the same company and the clubs are already in the boot. :)
Trouble is I had no money to go for it and it would be easily copied.

A good idea.
RyanAir, rip you off because you have no choice!
Just arranged a few days in France, £40 each way to take clubs, also the worry of losing/ damaging them.

I would go for it!

I,m sure Bill Goff Golf tours tried this and they are now out of business.
Good idea but the most important clubs are very personal, putter wedges driver and if you failed to get the right ones it could ruin your trip.
I just put as much normal luggage in the golf bag as weight will allow the rest going as hand luggage, this saves on a suitcase charge.
