Played in a Medal this morning and was going along nicely, having shot 43 for the front 9 and then 5's at each of the 10th, 11th and 12th. Then, on the 13th, I proceeded to hit my approach to the green into a bunker. Took 5 (yes FIVE!) shots to get out of the sand and carded a 10!! Recovered the situation and shot level 5's for the rest of the round for a back nine total of 50. So, 93 less 23 for a nett 71. The CSS is usually 69 and one of the guys in my group reckoned that despite my 10 at the 13th, I could still get cut as it would be rounded down to a nett double bogey for handicap purposes.
On the one hand, am delighted to have made the buffer zone despite having a 10 on the card, but on the other, what might have been..............
