I think he may just have delivered what he said he was going to.I spoke yesterday to a greenkeeper who had a visit last week and he says the place is just stunning and he would gladly pay to peg it up there even just now 7 months before the scheduled opening.

Would be a bit of a waste of time cutting holes in it when no one is likely to be holing out for at least 6 months!

Seriously though,the lad I spoke to did a course walk/tour and said it was just awesome condition wise and a cracking layout.

We went past the stretch of land it is on in late September and we all said that it would no doubt be a cracker as it really is on a beautiful bit of land.

I think that is a pretty fair price looking at it. Certainly more realistic than £300+ to play the West course.
