I purchased some 2nd hand Nike CCI's earlier in the year, as my Di11's were good, but not great. I spent the summer working with them, got my handicap down to 18, but found that anything less than perfect meant a severe loss of distance with the Nike's.

So, after much debate, I decided to chop them in and get myself a new set. I settled on the Rocketblades after comparing them, the new D100s from Wilson Staff and the Cobra AMP Ds.

My word what a difference. I know the CCIs were not as forgiving, but the feel from all 3 of the clubs I tried compared to my Nikes were a world apart.

I know TM are guilty of new releases every 6 months, but for someone who has gone from 4 year old irons to new, the difference is immense. That's why people buy new clubs!!

If that's the case, explain, if you can, why folk who change their irons on a semi regular basis, where the irons being changed arr <12 months old feel the benefit?

Can we put this thread in the same question category as:-

Why do people breath? - To stay alive
Will I get Fat if all I eat is fast food burgers? - Yes you will tubby
If I have an outside swing path and an open club face at impact, will I slice the ball? - Yes, it will bend like a banana
Do bears do number two's in the woods? - Yes

anymore for anymore?

Meh. I'm not convinced that any current GI irons offer anything (bar lighter shafts and stronger lofts) over my previous set of mizuno mx23 from 2004, or ping g series from that era or whatever really.

But hey, I'm glad you are enjoying your new clubs, sounds like they are a much better fit for you and your game, which is the most important thing.

How about. Do I feel big and clever being a keyboard warrior??

Whilst I appreciate sarcasm as much as the next fella, it was with the above mentioned post in mind that I made my comment. It seems people on here feel the need to constantly be "one up" when commenting on here. If people have nothin constructive to say then just don't comment. And yes I get the hypocrisy in me mentioning it in the way I did, but hey ho. From behind my keyboard and mouse I've conquered the world .......
