Have there golf shirts not tucked in?

I understand some of them they wear are too short to tuck in but i've seen a lot in tonights us open with shirts that are easily long enough to tuck in.

It's not breaking any rules but if Tiger played a round in the us open with his shirt untucked he would get slated for it.

You could add to that a lot of the blouses they wear are collarless and even armless! It doesn't bother me but, I don't think it helps them when you constantly hear the cries for more equality and yet their clothing comes across as, far more relaxed.

[Take cover, Incoming ] ;)

and shorts as well....most would be considered glorified hot pants as well. The male game says no to shorts on the professional circuit, which can be a joke when they are playing in ridiculous heat!!

I assume that this rule was not introduced by women, making the men wear only trousers

This is why it's ok:whoo:
Thread over!!

Seriously tho it is a fair question .. doesnt bother me what they wear realy but in times when golf is striving for total equality at all levels & areas of the game how can there be such difference in parts & how can it be allowed ?

If i wore a sleeveless shirt in my club id be told to cover up ..

if i wore a short top id be arrested :rofl:well i should be ha

Fair point mate.
Personally I think it's the men's dress code that should be a bit more relaxed if anything. I'm not talking tracksuit bottoms & football shirts, but I really don't see a problem with not having your shirt tucked in or wearing shorts.

Me neither mate ,i agree with you & i think you have it summed up perfectly... im not saying the women are wrong , or its the womens fault its just if you want equality its equal , in its good & bad (& silly) areas

Hilarious thread. Boys upset at discrimination because they can't wear sleeveless tops and skorts. Go for it guys!
think you are missing the point slightly Karen , as i said in my first reply it doesnt overly bother me what ye wear & i wont be out at the gate with a banner objecting , boo down with this sort of stuff :) (Fr Ted for those that havent seen it ).

Can you honestly tell me tho , that for the ladies section of the game who correctly & rightly were/have been looking for equality with the mens section are then allowed different dress codes etc ?

or maybe i should word it differently , i dont want to wear sleeveless shirts on the course or see the pro men in shorts , but surely it shouldnt be against the rules for me or them to do so if they wish to ..
