Why has hcp gone up?

A fellow golfer has asked me why their hcp has gone up from 46.6 to 47.0. After looking at their records I really don't have the answer.

I have attached the photos of their record (some overlaps showing), their latest score shows the differential is equal to their lowest ever differential.

Was their hcp incorrect in the first place and has now perhaps been adjusted because doing the maths on the 8 'counting' scores, I work it out that the hcp should actually be 50.4.

Can anyone work this one out please.

It's very likely their low handicap index has just changed given the age of their best 20. Also likely to be under a hard or soft cap but impossible to tell from the screenshots.

Their Handicap Index is Hard-Capped - increases over a 12 month period are limited to 5 above the lowest HI achieved during that time.
When they submitted the most recent score, their LHI changed from 41.6 to 42.0, which allowed their HI to increase from 46.6 to 47.0.

That now makes sense, I didn't realise that 12 months 'came into play'......and I've learned more about soft & hard caps.
Thank you
