Sorry guys i was looking through the "im not very long" thread and it looks like there are a lot of references to my driver review thread in there, Correct me if im just being paranoid but i appear to be taking a decent ripping for what I said! End of the day I did want to get across how nice i found the 910 driver and in heinsight i shudnt have put distances in there but i did want to get across the difference. End of the day anyone can boast about smashing it on here but who cares right, they still have to go to their local course in "real life" and probs shoot 85?

ive dragged a few of the quotes across from the thread, are these aimed at me?

They certainly are!!

There was a post this week where one of the forum members got custom fitted for a driver and it was giving him carry of 300 yards. How is that possible?? Surely, if you can carry 300 yards, you'd be on the tour wouldn't you??

Please note: I'm not questioning the forum member, more the results of the custom fitting machine.

AW i wouldn't worry about it i think that the custom fitting machine was cranked right up to make it look good.

You'd be on tour if you hit it 300yds straight, hit the green 70% of the time from the fairway, can get up and down from most places 70% of the time and averaged 27 putts per round.

I agree with the principal of what you're saying though

There are plenty of amateurs that hit it a long way though, doesn't make them great golfers without the rest of the game to back it up.

From memory of his previous posts, and not wanting to sound like the guys stalker, he's uni age, built like a brick outhouse, has a swing speed in the 120's and plays off 1.

I'm just saying it's possible, but totally agree on 99% overestimating out on the course without GPS.

rant over! :)

That is an great clip!

I do not think anyone "hates" big hitters or those so called,

On golf forums it just gets a little boring reading every 2nd 20 handicap hitting 300, its dull, pointless and very predictable!

It is funny though, if someone is very good at putting, no one will bat an eye

what a nice placid forum ^^ thats a rant? your joking right?

what if those comments(many of which clearly said they where speaking generally or querying the equip rather than you) were aimed at you?

you could have atleast have threatened someone or used some mildly abusive language!>?

anyhow i hope this thread brings you the response you desire and you are able to stoke up some chatter about just how incredibly long you are, and how jealous other short hitters our of your massive wassive drives :)

End of the day........good luck :)

Phil

i was thinking about sticking in some abusive language, ive gone wrong havnt i!

everyone hates anyone who hits it over 215yards its very strange.

215?

That is the end of lunch, not a driving distance!

F me, 6 iron?

Spin it back 15 feet to 215

Death matches are Double elimination

Golf stick,

Just for the hell of it, you want to see who can hit further?

I am not wanting a death match as I have a few scheduled

i just got ur PM 300yard and wow i wud like to give it a go! but i dnt live near anyone of the destinations anymore! btw im not claiming to hit it massive but i have an up and coming simulartor session booked so i will upload pics of some monsters from there to crush u haha!

It is funny if you do post distances (I try never to) you get battered for it.

But saying you hit 300 yards is no different to a guy saying he is scratch, either is rare but we usually believe the guy who says he is a scratch golfer!

As I said, I read two hours worth of posts on here before I jumped in, it all seems very placid unlike others.

Now, who wants to hear about my 80 foot putts

ps golfstick. BRING IT!

I think because there are so many who claim to be 300 yard plus hitters, who in reality have no idea as to how flippin far 300 yards is. It is a long way.

If the likes of Rory Mac hit 300 plus, and they have trained with some of the best, have the most optimised equipment, the latest swing analysis software, a near perfect swing, a young flexible physique, etc, why does the average fat 45 year old hacker think he gets it close?

If you are one of the few who do hit it out there, you are going to meet with a lot of cynicism until guys see you do it. There are too many telling porkies.

Is the correct answer.
;)

I think its great that someone can hit 300 yrds and i wouldnt be jealous at all,the one thing i do know is he wont be that straight or accurate otherwise he wouldnt be posting here,he would have his own Twitter.

I think some guys confuse the term 'I average 300 yards' with 'I once got close to 300 yards, with a stiff tailwind. Well, it might have been 300 yards. My mate said it was anyway. It rolled right up to the 300 yard marker on the range, with a titleist ball I found in my bucket; those range markers are the real distance, right?'.

I have my own Twitter. Does that mean I hit it 300 yards? Awesome!

I'm only small but I give it a good whack, nowhere near 300 but I LOVE playing against big hitters as they are generally the easiest players to annoying in match play.

Whenever someone in a team match would walk down the fairway and look at my ball (even though they know its not theres and stroll past it) It used to make me wanna beat them even more. And you will be suprised how much pressure you can put on by being the first on the green.

The guy who I play most of my golf with probs averages around 220 - 230 off the tee and plays off 2. Practice your short game. Distance off the tee means jack
