Discuss (actually, I hate that expression with a passion but it seems appropriate in this case)

Amongst other things I like that

It's played outside
You can play all year round
You can play on your own
You can play with 1,2 or 3 friends
You can have a competitive game with a complete stranger
it takes real skill and you can never master it
Every course is different
Every day is different
It has an amazing history
You can play those historical courses the old dead guys designed
The mental challenge is as big as the physical one
It is a great reason to travel the country
It leads to meeting new people
The old guys can still whip the flat bellies sometimes.

I'm sure there are more ...

I actually hate golf as much as I love it to be honest.
There are lots of things that really get on my wick things like slow play, people that have no awareness of others etc but the challenge is what I love.

I want to get as low as I can so I love practicing purely to better myself,i generally like people and enjoy meeting fellow golfers and I absolutely love the outdoors.

For me every round is a Magical Mystery Tour - and maybe one day I'll strike gold - and that 'gold' can take many forms and could happen at any time.

There are few things as satisfying as hitting an iron over 200 yards inside 10 feet exactly as you planned... it does not happen often but when it does... its addictive

That shot that keeps you coming back for more, even when it seems a struggle.
Good laugh with good company.
A nice malt or two at the 19th 😀
