Why do we miss half the Masters ?

So Sky start showing it at 7pm but last night live coverage did not start until 8pm, so why do we miss half the coverage when they start teeing off about 1pm ?

You can watch bits earlier via the red button. I spent some time watching Amen Corner as it was better that watching 3 shots then looking at 6 blokes walk 300 yards.

Amen corner was great as all the groups came through.

Because the green jackets say so, limited access for tv to the early holes, and as they don't need to fund year long big organisations such as the R& A through the open and the USGA through the us open they can pick and chose what and when is broadcast.

This is a Major Championship and we can't watch all of it.

Imagine turning on 30 minutes into the Champions League Final.
Its time Augusta National dragged itself into the present......

I believe they dont broadcast it but they do record it, in case of a 'charge' or a disaster, then we get the initial highlights before the live play.

I can watch it from early doors via PC but would prefer it to be on tv, as Imurg says for a Major championship it is unacceptable.

7PM is just about acceptable but 8 is a pee take, I watched tiger at Amen corner on red button yesterday but the camera angles and commentators are crap. Oh well we will see more of the main man tonight. I would like to add... The 3D coverage starting at 9:30 is a even bigger joke!!!

The coverage is due to the ANGC committee telling them when they can and can't televise it so it isn't the broadcasters fault on this on.

There was a time when there was no coverage on Thursday and Friday, then they allowed a couple of hours coverage. Things are so much better nowadays, apart from the reduced field.... I mean how can it be a major when less than 100 players take part

No they don't and the adverts are there due to the host broadcaster and not Sky's fault.

I know what you mean fella... had it on for 5 minutes and switched back... It makes Sky Sports 1's coverage look amazing
