After buying new irons last year and subsequently struggling with a long running elbow injury, I wanted to try some new irons with lighter shafts. After a few days looking, I happened upon the perfect set. A 4-PW set of Orka RS 5's with Dynalite stiff shafts. Similar heads to my current set (small cavity in the low-mid irons and bladed short irons). They look to be in good condition and I managed to get them for the princely sum of £40 inc postage.

Anyone using the RS5's on here??

Bargain.....
Use them myself and, although they spent a couple of months on the naughty step, they're back in for the foreseeable future.
Enjoy

Sounds like someone forgot to put a reserve on eBay,

I have them in the longer irons and the rs3's in the short irons. I like them the perform well and are decent enough to look down on. For that price they are a steal and you wont lose money on them.

'Twas my thoughts exactly. I spotted them at £12 and kept an eye on them as they were finishing this morning. I've checked the pictures thoroughly and they show a bit of bag chatter and some very minor dings. A bit of love and they'll look great. Looking forward to getting them on the course this week.

That says a lot about the resale value of Orka clubs! :)

I thought the same but the fact is when people are looking for used clubs orka isn't a brand they look at, gutted as their my spec...

Wanna take £75 quid for em.

Let me hit them first. If I don't get on with them you can have them at the price I paid mate. I wouldn't try and makes profit on here. Not my style. :D

Seriously resale on any clubs is generally pants, especially forged clubs due to them looking scruffy. You may sucker some mizuno fan boy but they rarely see good returns compared to the initial outlay.

You can get quite good prices on eBay for most of the better known premium brand clubs, such as Ping, Callaway, Titleist, Wilson, and to some extent Taylor Made (let down by how quickly they keep introducing new models). I have actually sold a set of Wilsons that I had used for two years for more than I had paid for them new in a sale!

£40 it does not really matter if they turn out to be any good or not does it. With regards to resale value some of the premium brands hold their value quite well, Ping for one certainly do and Titleist are another. I have even seen battered old forged club go for 3 times the amount the Orka's go for. Orka seems to be a well thought of brand by those that own a set but if you are somebody that changes their clubs fairly regular than the resale value appears to be rubbish

I think £40 for a set of irons is just incredible. The seller must be crying at giving them away for that price.

A set of cast clubs can wear well, and there will always be an iconic set that will still get attraction .. for example Berylium Ping Eye Pingeye 2s ... But these are few and far between. Forged stuff just looks knackered if used regularly.

I think £40 is a good deal if not great, the cheapest i have seen is £120ish and they looked like one needed to apply some love.

I've got to be honest, I was surprised that I won them. I only put the bid in because the price with a few minutes to go was about £13. The shafts were what really interested me. After switching to DG S300's last year, I immediately started suffering with an elbow problem. I just wanted to try a club with a lighter shaft that I hadn't tried before.

I was really looking for a single club with a Dynalite shaft, but I just couldn't resist these. Especially considering the reviews they get on here from the "awesomeness" club. Even if they are in relatively average condition (and they are described as Good), then they will at least be a good iron to use in Winter so that I don't have to expose my new Cobras to mud etc. They'll also give me something to practice grip replacement on..

I've just checked the listing, and they have been posted today. They were actually sold by a Pro from a course that a few on here know. In fact, I think a few are members - Brampton Park. At the very least I have someone to contact in the case of a problem (I don't expect one though).

Here's hoping for a happy outcome. I'll post some pictures when they get here..
